Heart of Gold

Looking through an old box of stored magazines and newspapers I came across this "gem" from Alaska Magazine (Feb, 1986). This 90-ounce nugget was found by Mick and Rita Martinek in the back of their tailings pile in August of 1984. They named it the "Heavy Heart".
